Why This Site Exists
Evidence-based sports medicine for athletes, parents, and coaches. That line is the whole mission, and every page here serves it.
Sports Advice Travels Faster Than Sports Evidence
An athlete hears one thing from a teammate, a parent reads another in a forum, and a coach is working from a protocol that was current fifteen years ago. None of them have time to read journal articles, and the people writing headlines rarely read past the abstract.
Inflamed By The Game closes that gap. We read the research, weigh it honestly, and write it up in language that works on a sideline, in a kitchen, or in a coaches meeting.
How We Keep Ourselves Honest
Every article names its sources so you can check the work. Uncertainty stays in the text instead of getting edited out for a cleaner headline. When the evidence is mixed, the article says so. When we are wrong, we correct the article and note the change.
And one rule above all the others: this site educates, it does not diagnose. Nothing here replaces a qualified clinician who can actually examine you.
